nice one mate, im looking at using 5 10 shot candles in a fan but 2-4 rows deep, what would be the best way to "Try" to get the 1st and 3rd row firing left to right and the 2nd and 4th row right to left? just looking to try and get a criss cross efect, might even add a 5th row just vertical.

i have Fast pink (when it gets here from Dan) would i need to create two fuses the same lengh?

UGE, if you are asking what I think you are asking, then there is no way of doing it. The delays on consumer candles (or even most cat 4 candles) are just not accurate enough to do it. You might get lucky and get the 1st shot of each to do it, but unless you have access to very expensive European candles then it will fall apart after the first shot.

    Sorry.

    Excellent Karl, well done.

Had a feeling it would be down to random packing, so might as well just do 2 deep and fuse them together with one peice of fast pink then?

Second that - easy to follow and really helpful - thanks!
  7. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Given me my 1st real insight on how to and what can be done. Just makes me hungry for more! Is there books/dvd's or courses that teach things like this? Too late for me to put into practice this BFN but definately something I'm going to try afterwards.

I'm chuffed I've found this forum!

There is no course that can teach you better than getting a professional ;-)

Wireless Fireworks have sold out of the waterproof visco (am guessing this topic could of helped with that:D)

Is the ordinary 2mm visco suitable for using in place of the waterproof stuff - although obviously not waterproof so guess would need to keep dry in case we don't get the much hoped for dry 5th?

Have seen on another site that the fish fuse is suggested as an alternative and is waterproof, is this a better option?

FF fuse is NOT waterproof :)

Standard visco is fine, just keep it dry :)

Cheif i have a garden display next month, could you do a topic on fusing cakes with QM please.
I have some on the way from wireless at the min and need to have a practace so any advise on doing it would be grate, also fusing rockets with QM would be a grate help for GFN as well

To me honest mate if I just did a piece on linking various fuse types with QM it will cover everything. I would only be showing how to link the cake fuses (which are no different to rocket fuses) not how you set up the cake to the concept is the same across the board :)

Just ordered my first fuse from Wireless Fireworks. I'll be giving the fan a go for my birthday in June and then maybe graduate to something larger for GFN. Fingers crossed.

Roman candles and fuse in hand! Just one question - I've noticed that the candles in the video are held in a vice on a work bench - something I don't have access to. How would you suggest anchoring the fan into the ground. I'd thought about just sharpening the bottom of the side pieces or using cable ties to attach it to two stakes driven into the ground. When I touch the blue touch paper and retire I want the fan to stay in the ground and stay upright. Cheers.

Drive in stakes and cable tie the frame to them :)

Brill. I'll be giving it a go soon.
