The president of the Central Fallera Board (JCF) has announced the Fallas 2018 pyrotechnic company that will shoot both the Nit del Foc and the mascletà on March 19, and the cremà will be Reyes Martí (pirotecnia Marti of Burriana) the first pyrotechnic woman to shoot the Nit del Foc and the Cremà

Full calendar should be published this week :)

Will be interesting to see what Marti do on the 18th, don’t think I’ve seen much of their night work in the flesh, really looking forward to it.

    Its out!!

To start the great week of Fallas, midnight from Thursday 15 March to Friday 16 Ricasa will be responsible for the Albà de les Falles, a night show with a novelty that will be held in the Plaza de l'Ajuntament and will allow the Fallas commissions join the celebration by shooting carcasses synchronized from all points of the city to announce the start of the Nit de la Plantà.

Reyes Martí will be the protagonist of the end of the program as she is the first woman responsible for shooting the Nit del Foc, the mascletà on the 19th and the Cremà de las Fallas Municipales. As for the mascletaes, day 1 Peñarroja will open the cycle that will also trigger in the plaça de l'Ajuntament the Pirotecnia Zaragozana (day 2), Vulcano (day 3), the Mediterranean (day 4), Nadal-Martí (day 5), Accitana-María Angustias (day 6), Gironina (day 7) and Global Foc-Caballer FX on Women's Day (day 8). Next, they will fire the masquetaes Pirotecnia Alpujarreña (day 9), Hermanos Caballer (day 10), Tomás (day 11), Ferrándiz (day 12), Crespo (day 13), Zarzoso (day 14), Ricasa (day 15), Aitana (day 16), Turis (day 17), Pirotecnia Valenciana (day 18) and the mentioned mascletà of the 19th day by Pirotecnia Martí.

There is also a colorful mascletà programmed on the plaça de l'Ajuntament from midnight on Saturday 3 to Sunday 4, by Pirotecnia Vulcano. A week later, on Saturday March 10, Hermanos Caballer will fire the pyrotechnic show on the plaça de l'Ajuntament on the occasion of the Plantà de la Falla Municipal.

The traditional castles in the Alameda of the big week of Fallas will also have great pyrotechnicians, this year with Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo on the night of Friday, March 16 (24 hours); Peñarroja, the night of Saturday the 17th (at 1:00 p.m. on the 18th), and Pirotecnia Martí, the night of Sunday the 18th and the Nit del Foc (at 1:30 p.m. and on the 19th). Reyes Martí and his team will also be in charge of the show on the occasion of the cremà of the municipal faults (on the 19th at night, at 24 hours)

So no mention of a riverbed display on the 15th but the Alba de les Fallas in the Plaza Ayuntiamento with "shells synchronized from all points of the city to announce the start of the Nit de la Plantà"
I guess a walk to the riverbed during the day on the 15th will confirm

Oh yes there is @Firework Crazy ..... the day's events are listed in time order, so the Castell de focs artificials is listed after the Ofrena. :)

  12. Apparently the list on the fallas.com website hasn't been updated yet.

But you are right it's listed on the day before

Which list on the fallas.com website hasn't been updated yet? I'm picking up links and bookmarking them in readiness for the trip to Valencia. The list I was reading from was the one on the fallas.com website you gave the link to - I followed the link. Is there another list I should be looking for as well?

  14. Tony said it hadn't been updated fully and he seems to know his stuff

Any news on whether Sueca's returning to having a proper music & light show this year? Last year they replaced their previous cathedral of light with something that just offered a static display. (I think Malvarrosa got the old Sueca lights judging by photos I saw in Valencia, but I didn't go out there to see for myself.) Cuba had a proper music & light show last year and I hope they do so again this year rather than going the same way that Sueca went.

(Last year's thread about this is here: http://www.fireworks-forum.org.uk/threads/music-lightshow-at-cuba-not-sueca.31348/ )
