Christopher Allen Funeral Launch - 29 April 2020 @ 9PM

Discussion in 'Fireworks Forum Chat And Discussion' started by Chorlton Fireworks, Apr 13, 2020.

  1. I have been thinking about what to do as unfortunately im pretty sure not many people will be allowed to the funeral due to the current situation.

After talking with Tony from Mars Pyrotechnics and saying how we will be firing some pyro on the day we thought wouldn't it be amazing if we could get as many people as possible to fire some pyro on the day at 9pm in memory of Chris and to acknowledge the day.

Whatever you choose to fire it would be amazing if you could film it and post on here.

As soon as I have more information on the date i will post it.

What are your thoughts ? Who would be up for it ?

You're right about that. Funerals are almost on lockdown..... we can still do them, but only at the graveside (for burials) or in the crematorium chapel (for cremations). The general rule seems to be immediate family members only can be present, plus funeral director and whoever's taking the funeral service, up to a max of 10 people present. That's still the case where I am, but I have heard in some areas a "no mourners - not even immediate family - in the crematorium" rule has been brought in.

"A simple reflection at home on the day of a funeral you can’t attend" has been produced for family, friends and neighbours by the Church of England. If that'd be of value to anyone here - whether for Chris' funeral or another - you can find it here:-

Will do even if it's a small fountain so not to piss the neighbours off.
