Was that you letting the Octavious Hunt box off on youtube?
Where on earth did you get it from? We sold these back in 96/97, from memory there were 3 x silver boxes (Silver Solar, Silver Galaxy and Silver Universe) 3 x Gold boxes and a couple of Platinums - I could be wrong a bit on this as it's a long time ago.
The Bishop family and John Coller were working for Octavious at the time before John joined Kimbolton and set up their retail range with Sean Breddy.
At the end of the Octavious days all sorts of shit was being thrown into the selection boxes. They also had a range of cakes that were all blackpowder (apart from Battle of the Planets) and a few rocket packs, Hawk, Kestrel and mini rockers. After a very short time Black Cat and Cosmic killed them and we went on initially to Kimbolton.
The boxes are actually quite nice, will be firing a pack of the hawks later
Have some rhapsody and fantasia German made rocket packs also, low noise though
Where did you get them from - and what box did you fire? There was a great little pin wheel in them - although they were cat 3 and the boxes were cat 2.
Ah yes I think I remember them, photos would be appreciated.
Not firing vintage stuff are you Dan? :0
Oh yes, I am the scourge of vintage pyro
From memory that Solar box was a fiver but the German rockets quite expensive at £20, I think the Hawks were about £7.50
Where did you get all these????
heres some more from that era
We had a great time firing this old gear last Saturday and comparing it with a bit of new stuff
Do the decent thing and put @Trafalgar Fireworks out of his misery
Stop teasing, Dan!
How did it compare? Guessing a lot of the older bigger stuff was louder...
really like the simple, but effective lettering and pink label of the 'Air Bomb'
the cones were really good in that box
Agreed - amazing for the size, proper conic fountains as well
