Yes, and it will also stop the candles from absorbing any moisture that may be on the ground
Nice one, thanks very much Mr Dan
Thanks for this
Does quick match need to be cut down the middle to slow it down? Make it less likely to blow out
I didn't and they worked perfectly, just make sure the visco is well inserted into the QM and you foil tape everything securely
This was mine last year
Thanks k9 girl
That's an impressive set up
Will get a few rolls of this quick match next year! And some fast visco to use as leader
I assume this works for cakes in the same way and you can tape the quick match to the cake side and dangle in between the cakes on grass and attach visco to the firing end then place this in the talon
I remote fired this year and will do same next year
ThNk you again k9 and illusion for this wonderful thread
Just 'mounted' my candles for this year, gonna QM later in the week! @Catesbysrevenge if your hand lighting you'd want standard not fast visco as your leader, don't wanna blow ya head off
Looks like you'll be remote lighting so why not get some SFI or e-match and go straight to the QM?
top advice as usual @K9
Thanks so much
@K9Girl if e match would you simply feed the e match firing head in to the end of qm and tape it in?
Sorry I'm a beginner
Yep, but you have to be careful, not being over the top of the firework and at the place where you intend to fire due to the pyrogen in the e-match head. SFI's are more expensive but safer, they can be attached wherever then transported to site. So personal preference really. SFI's are a good move up from talons but less 'risky' than e-match
That's great advice
Just looked at sfi.
I will go for those
Invaluable advice and very appreciated
and sheathed too .... fnaaaar!
I'll get me coat!
Better safe than sorry!
K9 girl do u have sharpened stakes on the bottom of ur candle frame built in and just hammer them in to the ground? thanx.
No, bang in a couple of stakes then tie the candle rack to the stakes with cable ties etc
Stakes crowd side of candle rack too
I have 2 longer sharpened stakes screwed to the back, then just hammer them into the ground
so this year im making a couple racks for single shot tubes and wanted to know something about the fusing part. i have
Visco quick fuses
Visco 2mm fuses
i seen that you tapematch every firework and just add a a visco fuse at the end. the tapematch that i have doesnt look like the one in the images :/ so im wondering how and the best way of doing it. this is the one i have
also what foil tape would i need and wheres the best place to get it?
That looks like standard tape match to me
