Offered to help out the gaffer today and found out this year above most seems to be lancework heavy.

Currently smashing out a variety of sizes of “Goodnight”.

Surprisingly therapeutic with the music on and the sun shining.

Anyone else doing much prep this week?

Where's the 50mm tape match from? 25mm is a pig to stick down securely.

Looks like standard 25mm from Wells to me?

I think you're right, just looked like a lot more clear tape showing.

I know this is Pro stuff, is there anything I can do as a amateur to re create this?

Ice fountains? Might be too bright?

  9. I believe wells sell lances as T1, tape match is T1 from there also.

The tape match is indeed from wells. The lances are from Deans Fireworks in Cinderford but imagine no different to most.

We tend to do most lancework last minute just because heavy handed staff often smash it up by ignoring its fragile nature. So it’s made pretty much to go on the van for a show. Harder work admittedly but given clumsy Firers probably sensible.

  13. Even T2 can be bought with proof of either public liability insurance or proof of training.

A supplier of T1 lances then would be good to know, seeing as DIY lancework comes up so much.

Seeing as they stock product that the sponsors don’t, it would be great if either wells or deans were asked to come on here and explain what they could do/provide for the enthusiasts on here?

Yes agreed, it would be good to know what our options are... I'll contact them after silly season if they don't pop in before then.

I'd also be very interested considering they are only half hour or so away from me, could add another dimension for us hobbyists.
