No invertor ?
Don’t think so , will check tomorow
Something like this
I’ve got a HK Audio rig that was running off a Honda eu70is inverter generator and had no rumbles. My friend was running a pair of Jbl speakers off a standard generator and suffered a bad case of the dc rumbles.
If you can borrow an invertor generator you may be able to do a little test.
Ok so next question, Does the amp produce this noise when nothing except the speakers are connected, and the gains are set at normal operating level. (P.s. What amp is it?)
They are behringer active speakers, the noise was present as soon as the speakers were powered up
Ok cool, right. The (noisy) output of that generator, combined with the inability of the powersupply within the speaker to filter it, is causing noise to enter the amplifier stage. Nothing you can do about that really.
Homebase in Bedford is closing Briggs and Stratton powersmart invertor generators 50% off £284 2k watts
Ryobi invertor generators 2k Watts £250 all inc vat so you’ll get a bit back if your vat registered
